A Parent’s Testimony & Endorsement

As a parent of a student in Salt Lake City School District, I support Mohamed Baayd for reelection to the Salt Lake City Board of Education. Over the last four years, I have been impressed with his commitment to our students and community. He has advocated for increased transparency from our leaders, increased educational pathways for all students, and continuously works to create an inclusive and welcoming environment in our district.

One of the things I admire the most about Board Member Baayd is his ability to listen and to work with the community to advocate for solutions. I have watched as he actively listens to students, parents, teachers, and other community members with the intent to truly understand where they are coming from and the issues they face. I have been impressed with how he has then been able to advocate for change and work with community leaders to find creative and innovative solutions that truly put our students first. I am confident that Board Member Baayd will continue to work on innovative solutions that will provide the best opportunities for each student in our district.
